“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11) What a glorious message the angel of the Lord brought to the shepherds abiding in the field on the night of our Lord’s birth. The angel said it was a message of “good tidings of great joy” in verse ten. Truer words were never spoken, because the virgin birth of our Lord was not just the miraculous birth of the Son of Man, but it was the birth of hope and eternal life for mankind. It was the arrival of the second Adam who came to fulfill the Law that man could never fulfill. It was the arrival of the spotless lamb who would take our place on brazen altar of God’s judgment and sacrifice. It was the arrival of the door by which we may enter into eternal life. Without Christ’s birth, there could never have been Christ’s death or resurrection, thus leaving mankind to remain in search of a redeemer. It’s no wonder the angel of the Lord said, “Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” As a child of God we should rejoice with exceeding joy this Christmas season because a Saviour was born in the city of David and if you’ve accepted him as Saviour you now have a home in Heaven!
The Christmas season is not only a time to rejoice in Christ’s birth, but it is also a time when we reflect on the blessings of another year on earth. 2014 was an exciting year. This past year we were blessed in many ways. We launched Crag Ministries, published “Divorce happened to Me” in paperback and e-book format, held our first Divorce Recovery Conference, preached in a number of different churches, and saw God do many other wonderful things in our lives. We have truly been blessed this year, but as we look forward to 2015 we want to see God do even more wonderful things. As a friend of Crag Ministries I want to ask you to help us pray for a few things we hope to see the Lord do in 2015….
1. See more Souls Saved
2. Return to the Pastorate Full-Time
3. Publish the “MENDED” Divorce Recovery Program
4. Additional Divorce Recovery Conferences
5. The influence of Crag Ministries Enlarged
The Lord instructed Jeremiah to, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” I don’t know about you, but I want to see God do great and mighty things with my life and ministry, and I believe that starts with prayer. Please help us pray for God to meet our needs in the five areas mentioned above, and ask him to bless us beyond what we expect. If you or anyone in your church would like to help us in any of these five areas please let us know. Thank you for being a friend of this work, and from all of us at Crag Ministries we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
All the Best,
